Wilson
Part 4: Wilson
One day while waiting for the elevator in the office building, a man came up alongside of Chelsea and asked her if she was going up or down. Chelsea spoke without looking at the person. She stood their focusing on her phone and just said, “up”.
As the elevator doors opened, she stepped it still looking down at her phone. She said, “16, please?”
“Um, excuse me, but the buttons are on your side.”
Chelsea looked up at the person next to her. He caught her eyes and made her forget what she was about to do. He smiled as she stared at him in awe and reached over her to press the 15th and 16th floors. She was frozen in her step. She wanted to back up and give him room, but she remained where she was causing him to brush his hand across her breast.
The man was gorgeous, but not a model type. He was tall and had a slim build. He appeared to have charisma, although he looked like a geek with his glasses. He appeared to be the perfect contradiction to all the other relationships that she had in the past, including her current standby.
Chelsea looked at him and checked him out from head to toe. She looked for a ring, and then to his face, down to his arms, his legs, and back up before moving out of the way.
“Umm, thank you. Sorry.”
“It’s OK, I am going that way anyway.”
Chelsea began to daydream about kissing him. She could not believe the way she was acting. She was a reserved person, who never fawned over a man before. She never committed herself long enough to one person to see any potential in a future with that person. This guy was different. She wanted to know everything about him. She wanted the right opportunity, but needed it to present itself.
The elevator doors open opened on the 15th floor, but he did not get off. As they closed, Chelsea asked if he was forgetting his floor.
“No, I’m actually on the 16th floor, just wanted to press another floor to lean over you a little longer.”
Chelsea giggled then snorted. She felt embarrassed and covered her hands over her face.
“So why are you going to my floor?”
“Today is my first day. I will be working in accounting. What do you do?”
“I am a Marketing Executive.”
The elevator stops and the doors open. He signals for her to go first. She steps off the elevator and could feel his presence as he walked behind her. She begins to wonder if her walk is too manly, then she trips over her own foot. He catches her to keep her from falling.
“Are you OK?”
Yes, I guess I am a little clumsy right now. Thank you, I will be fine.”
She turns to look at him to see if he looked at her as if he was disgusted with her. She was not able to read the expression on his face and began to wonder if there was a sign that he was not interested in her.She goes to her desk and immediately realizes that she just made a complete fool out of herself.

Author notes |
I want to start off by saying that I plan to do a rewrite for this part. I am not totally happy with it. I had previously wrote this part and did not allow the words to fully develop into the story. I want to add depth and make it a fuller scene. I will leave this one so that you as the reader can compare it with the next version of Part 4.
